Yesterday was pretty awesome. Went to the beach with Debbie, Shadasia, Gerold and Maggie. It was awesome. Amazing that I can be outside for 6 hours in 95 degree weather and still look just as white when I get home.
Home was followed by a quick shower and change and the girls met me at my place before we headed out to the block festivities.
Kosciuszko is the street I live on. Whenever you say what block you live on you have to say between what streets. So my building is between Marcy and Tompkins. Most of my friends and the "cool side" in my opinion is between Tompkins and Throop. Since we live right on the corner of Kos and Tompkins I think we could pick either side. Regardless, pretty much since we moved here people having been amping up the 4th saying that the two sides have a competition with fireworks. So I was pretty excited. So I guessss that Tompkins/Throop side had a truck load of fireworks and they got arrested or something, so there wasnt any on that side. So my side of the block won by default. Either way, we hung out down on my side for the first time and watched the fireworks. It was sort of like Santa Maria fireworks from the fair except right in front of you. They were pretty careless about it. At one point a car drove over the fireworks and it tipped over and they started shooting at people. It was funny. But scary. My night ended at midnight , but it was kind of hard sleeping when people were doing fireworks till 4 am. It was pretty fun. So tired though.
