I'm not a big fan of this picture. I think that there are many much more suitable and attractive and even creative images that could have been used for the same purpose. But I so deeply relate to the words and idea behind them that I find significant appreciation for it anyway.
Happy Valentime's Day! I remember being a kid at school and how pretty much every single little person in the class gave a valentine to every other little person in the class.
I have a very distinct memory of a specific classroom when I think about those valentines. I think it was Mrs. Lambkin/Erdely/Koenig's classroom. Those classes were all in the same room, I'm pretty sure.
Then, when I think about that classroom I have another distinct memory of watching a video or something similar and being really jealous watching Stephanie Zirgulous eating cookies. She got them everyday cause she was diabetic. I was always jealous! I probably wouldn't have been jealous if I was the one who had to have a shot in my finger a billion times a day to check on my insulin levels.
I'm always really surprised that I still enjoy this day. I don't seem to care that I'm single. Or that I ended an engagement (a silly engagement, man kids are dumb) on this day. Or that everyone around me is in love, getting flowers, going on romantic dates. I don't care! I think it's a really sweet holiday! I see no reason to be bitter that other people are celebrating their love. And I don't want to hear any crap about how this is a corporate holiday made up by Hallmark. Look it up!
In other news, tomorrow is payday, my favourite day of the week!
