We work our entire lives for it, but for what? What good is what we learn going to be in the long run? What can we take with us, what will really matter?
Does it matter that we know how to compute complex mathmatics, or that we know how to write a novel or compose a brilliant song? These things are important, they are excellent, but do they really matter in eternity?
Not really.
What does matter?
God.
Knowledge of God is the only thing that will serve any eternal benefit. How ones relationship with God is, is the only thing of eternal consequence in this life. Whether or not we know God or not will determine the reality of our eternity. Is His love in us or are we dead to Him?
We are eternal, where will we spend our eternity?
