I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
I got all showered, dressed, and made up today because I was supposed to be visiting the coolest person in the world, my 7th grade social studies teacher. My sister got an email today canceling our visit and rescheduling for tomorrow. So, I wasted my day away on the computer, contacts in, makeup on, and in a pretty nice looking outfit. I left the house exactly once to get the newspaper. fml.
I don't mind too much, though. I spent a good chunk of time on tvtropes.org, reading through the "Tear Jerkers" section. Now I really, really want to watch a sad movie. I'm probably going to settle and finish watching The Dark Knight for the millionth time. I started watching it two nights ago but turned it off before I had to see Gordon's wife hearing about his "death." Gah, talk about pulling on the heartstrings! I also want to watch Return of the King, as the end has made me cry every time I've watched it, except for once. The whole trilogy is full of beautiful, tear-inducing moments.
Speaking of tearjerkers, do any of my lovely f-listers remember the episode of Futurama with Fry's dog, "Seymour Asses?" Reading the tear jerker page made me remember when I saw that episode on Adult Swim and basically cried my eyes out. I was honestly bawling over Futurama, with my sister making fun of me the entire time. To make it worse, after that, the episode of Fullmetal Alchemist when Nina dies came on. Again, bawling my eyes out. I really want to watch something sad now. I haven't really cried in a little while, and reading and remembering all these sad things puts me in the mood to cry. I'm a bit odd.
Completely random, but does anyone have any manga series they can recommend? My friend recently got into anime and manga, and it really put me in the mood to get back into it myself. I've been trying to find a manga to read online, but am a bit overwhelmed with the possibilities. I started reading Manhole and may continue it, but it freaked me out a lot, and I'm not sure how my mom would react to seeing bleeding naked men all over my computer screen. Reccs would be met with undying love! <3
