the road of life is never ending...
sometimes it's just flat.. no hills, no rocks, nothing getting in your
way.. occassionally you stumble a bit, but you get back on your
feet. But then something major happens.. the road is no longer
paved. It is now a rough terrain on gravel. You trip and
fall and catch some pretty nasty bruises on the way. Soon enough
you're back on the road.. watching your feet as they land--just to make
sure you don't fall again. You come to a clearing.. the road is
no longer bumpy or rocky.. just a few more steps and--you're
there. The road is smooth, but of course it won't stay that way
for long. You look ahead at a hill. It's absolutely
beautiful; it almost takes you breath away. Not paying attention
you run to it. You look around and you feel like the happiest
person ever! You can feel the sun beating down on your cheek and
the soft green grass below you. You reach the top in no time, but
when you look down the other side of the hill, it's dark and
gloomy. You're so sure that the sun was just hiding so you don't
think to much about it. But you realize that the sun is
gone.. there's no more green grass, but instead sharp rock that slices
you when you step on it and you fall down and tumble the rest of the
way down the hill.. you are beat up completely, you're bruised
everywhere, but what hurts most is the fact that you know you can't go
back-- you'll never see that breath-taking view again. ....very
disheartening
