fall semester '07. i'm a college sophomore. weird.
so far my italian prof is a total jackass, my brit. lit prof is awesome, my education teacher is kinda spacey and hippie-ish -- and i like it -- my stat professor is frazzled and obviously overworked, my history prof is an old british man who likes to give out As, and my sociology prof is a young russian (possibly hungarian?) woman who gets way too excited about sociological research. it's been alright thus far.
i am pledging KKG, which is odd, considering the fact that i always said i would never join a sorority and can still barely believe that i'm in one. i've gotten a lot of really awesome kappa related presents from my big and i find out who she is tomorrow!! excitement :) then it's off to a birthday dinner for a friend (my RA, actually), getting up early to tailgate before the homecoming game saturday and driving to charleston to see my mom and grandma and everyone else. i'm glad i get to see my mom soon, i've been way way too stressed this semester and seeing her will help
i have an italian quiz tomorrow that i haven't studied for. but that class isn't until 11:15, so i think i'll get up in the morning and study. my roommate is driving me mucho insaneo and with all of the classes i'm taking and things i'm involed in i really don't need any added stress. i think i might ask for a room change for next semester... we'll see.
i am fairly certain that i'm going to be an RA next year. you get your own room and bathroom, a king size bed, half off your housing costs and 250 a month. sounds like a good deal to me... i'm going to need to have an income and i really don't have the time (or money for gas) to have a "real job" off campus.
Mae and motion city soundtrack and anberlin are coming to myrtle beach and tickets are freaking 17 dollars. so i'm going. and i'm extremely excited :D that concert is right after retreat for O Phi A, where I get to reveal to my little that i'm her big!! it's weird being a big and a little at the same time, but it's kinda neat... i get lots of presents. haha.
time for some sleep, hope you all have excellent weekends and fall breaks if they're coming up soon -- i'm going to Boston (!!!!) to visit meera!!!! i've never been to boston, and i haven't had nearly enough meera time in the past year, plus i get to see nicole while i'm up there too. it's going to be incredible, and i can't wait. only two more weeks!
