touch down in the land of the delta blues...
i had walkin in memphis stuck in my head for the entire plane ride home last weekend. it was cloudless when we landed, so i could see the whole city as we flew over it, it was really cool. i saw the liberty bowl and got really excited (the game's this friday! ahhhh!!).
tip app complete and sent...except for one rec and my transcript. but that can all go in in january.
i think i'm way too into my school. maybe that's a good thing...i don't know. i'm immediately drawn to anything burgandy ("carolina crimson") so that i can wear it to games in the fall and my mom got me earrings that have gamecocks engraved in them that i'm actually completely in love with. i've never been especially school spirited, i have no idea why i love south carolina so much and feel the need to share that love with the world, but i do and it's fun.
i need to dye my hair again. i want to go see a bunch of movies, but i have no money. this is a problem. it's so lame that we don't have student ticket prices, there are three colleges in memphis! there should be a student rate!! those two dollars are important to me, damnit. they could get me a full meal at taco bell.
now i'm off to my first local show in who knows how long, hopefully it'll be a good one.
