the kind of voices she would soon learn to deny
today we went to the school and made waffles in mr.smith's office. belgian waffles. and gave them out to the band children complete with strawberries and whipped cream. something is seriously wrong with us, but it was so much fun! a good way to leave, i think.
i'm almost finished packing my clothing. the last load of clothing related laundry is in the washer right now, so in about two hours it'll be in a suitcase. then i have to wash the comforter and sheets and towels, but that shouldn't take too long. i have way more clothing than i was aware of, it's not all going to fit in my mammoth suitcase and that's ridiculous. that's not even including shoes and purses and my coat, which i have to take because i won't be home to get it before december so all of my wintery clothing is coming with me now.
this afternoon = frisbee
tomorrow = lunch with [what's left of] piland
wednesday = hanging out with the girls
thursday = SNAKES ON A PLANE with miss meera
friday i leave and sit in a car watching the first season of joan of arcadia and knitting for 11 hours. saturday i move in and see some of my south carolina family and meet my roommate and go to the first night partay they have at the uc. i'm really really anxious and excited and worried and ready for something new, even though it means leaving a bunch of people that i love more than i ever thought possible. we better still be having meetings of piland (not necessarily meetings, but you get my point) when we're 30 and married and have children. that'll give the kids something to tell their friends, eh?
