'cause i ain't ever looking back, and that's a fact.

over the course of this past week i have had several ups and downs, drunk a whole lot of water, eaten far too many cookies, and made a lot of money to walk around, laugh, and get a tan. i now have a friend who is ten years older than i am, and she's fabulous.

she and i were talking about life in general and i realized that i tend to be too nice to people, to accept fault for things that aren't my fault, to try to fix things that shoudn't depend on my fixing. and so i've decided to stop. i've always been fairly straightforward, but now it's completely -- if you piss me off, i'll tell you. if i don't like you, i won't act like it. and if i feel like i'm being walked on, i'll put an end to it. i am so looking forward to going to college. i wish i could come home at least once before december, but i really think the total change of setting and atmosphere will be good for me.

the last few weeks before i leave are extremely busy, it makes everything so much more exciting when you have stuff to do every day. tomorrow i'm seeing revenge of the space pandas with meera and i can't wait -- i have no idea what it's about, but we saw a poster and the title is hilarious, so we're going. i also found out that, if you use your student id, you can get a large pizza from pizza hut for 6.50. how cool is that? i love all of this student discount stuff...and i get even more discounts in columbia because i'm a member of the alumni association.

my mom works for olympus and in celebration of opening a new hub in the US they are sending all of their employees one of their newest digital cameras. so i get a really nice camera for free!! and i am very excited. now all i need to be hip and with it is an ipod...haha. for now i'll stick with my cd player and binder full of cds...i like my cds. actually, i need to buy some more now that i have money.

i'm going to nashville on the saturday of the no-sales-tax-weekend to shop for back to school clothes and i'm totally pumped about that too. road trip with the girls, what could be more fun?

we need to go bowling again at least once before we all leave. my to-do list is getting way too long. but i finished the fifth season of gilmore girls, hooray!
