I think Finland is a flexible character: he's kind and timid, but can turn badass in an instant. The first part belongs to Hufflepuff, but the sort of attitude shift--the fact he's really tougher than he acts all along--it's kind of a bit cunning? Intelligent?

Actually my explanation is total bullshit. I just like the idea of Fin in Slytherin.

Berwald is so Ravenclaw it hurts.

I was going to put Ice and Nor into Slytherin with Tino for the purpose of character interaction, but Ice is less Slytherin and more Ravenclaw while Norway sits on the cusp between the two. Nor's way more Slytherin than Fin, though. Perhaps I should put them all in Ravenclaw instead.

Den is all Gryffindor, too. In my head, he and Sweden hate one another.

Quidditch wise, I think only Den and Fin would participate. Fin would be a chaser and Den is a beater. I can see Nor as a seeker, but I don't know if he'd go for that.

I want actual reasons for them to interact, not just BS you know? I sort of like the idea of the three younger ones going to Ravenclaw with Sweden. And then Den is the hated enemy of Sweden and Nor and by default the other two.

But a large part of Slytherin is also self-preservation. And I don't think Finland has much of that. His badass side is kind of "Come at me, bro!", which isn't Slytherin at all. XD

I agree about Denmark, though. He couldn't possibly be anything but a Griffindor. (I've seen people shuffle him into Ravenclaw just because they want to put all the Nordics together, but he'd never fit in in Ravenclaw.) I considered making him and Sweden related, so they'd have a reason to interact that way, same with Ice and Nor if they ended up in different houses, especially if you decide to make them twins in the end.

Oh my god, Denmark would be an awesome beater. Fin's size would make him a good seeker, but I don't think he has the attention span for it. I don't really see Nor and Ice going out for sports. Sweden might if someone gave him really good incentive, but I'm not sure what position he'd be good at.

It's more of a Gryffindor badass-ness, isn't it? I agree. xD

I can see Den and Sweden as relatives, but I like them better as rivals. Nor and Ice I like as twins. I just do. I think they're going to Ravenclaw with Sweden and Fin.

I think Fin's a team player and wouldn't like the fact everyone's depending on him to catch the snitch to win and end the game. I think he'd be much happier as a chaser. Sweden has the potential to be an awesome keeper IMO. Fin might have to badger him about it, though.
