You know you're a crazy artist when you drink alone, write the blues, while working on a charcoal pencil sketch, and thinking of romance.
Although Industrial (Man And Machines) music is where most of my heart lies, I have been listening to a lot of blues lately. I have connected with Dinah Washington and Billie Holiday so much lately...Sassy heartbreak, gaining wisdom, while still being vulnerable.
I have wanted to have a creative outlet for the romantic/heartbreak/learning side of things taking place within me for quite some time now. I know it doesn't fit my image or current band, so I will do this privately until I find some way to put it all together.
To sum this entry up, the name of the blues song I have been writing is called "The City Lights Still Burn." It talks of how hearts break, but life around must still go on..and how sometimes your heart will break more than once in a short period of time. I am also working on another of romance that can't be reached, for seemingly superficial reasons. This music is so deeply ingrained in my soul, I think I'll always be a slave to these simple lines of daily life.
