Fucking Wha?
Yeah. It's been quite a while, huh?
To sum it up, my life's pretty boring and monotonous. I work, I hang out with friends, I stay up late. And that's an entire week for me. However, I have been trying to write some short films when I have time. And I started writing my thesis as well. I know, I just finished Freshmen year and I shouldn't be worrying about it just yet, but as a film major, my thesis has to be a "feature-length" film. The reason I " "ed feature-length is because it doesn't HAVE to be an hour and a half to two hours. It should be, but a 45 minute feature will be fine. I, however, really want to be involved with film for the rest of my life, so I want to have one of the few films that can make it to the hour to an hour and a half length mark.
Anyway, just for fun I've been writing a lot of stupid scripts. I'm actually trying really hard to work on a Stella-esque sketch series of shorts. I want each one to only last between three and five minutes, but I want those three to five minutes make people do nothing but laugh. Hard, but accomplishable. The other script that I'm currently working on is going to be another short film, but this one is going to be an homage to 70's cop exploitation films. Basically, it's going to have three men in ridiculous suits and mustaches running around sliding on the hoods of cars. It's going to have what one might be able to call a story, but I'm not sure of one just yet. I really just want ridiculous looking people to slide on cars.
I've also been listening to a lot of the new Between the Buried and Me album, Colors, lately. It's not really new, seeing as how it came out last September, but I don't care. It's amazing and easily one of the best, and possibly one of the most perfect, albums ever recorded. And I will defend that statement to the very end. If you're looking for an album that can give your ears an orgasm, check this one out. They create a fusion of some of the best elements of music, ranging from something brutal and heavy to something incredibly melodic and beautiful. If someone asked me to rank it on a scale from one to five, I'd give it a six.
Well, I'm off to go find something more time consuming to do. It's only 2 AM and I'm already bored. This is going to be a long night.
