This year, I thought my holidays were going be lazy -not having to do childminding during vacation time, not having too many events to drive out too, etc. etc....the otherwise hermit-like holiday.
I was wrong though.
My friends and I decided on saving some this year whilst making one person extra happy this holiday so we chose to do a Secret Santa gift exchange. This was really fun because it was an excuse to get together somewhere fancy and everyone got what they wanted (by way of a wishlist). We'll be doing this again for sure next year!
I'll be honest, I was too lazy to drive much this season so I offered to have Christmas Eve dinner with friends at the apartment. We had a great time dressing the house up, eating Romanian dinner and then playing Catchphrase afterwards. Quite exhausting cleanup afterwards though. So much for lazy...
Then of course there's the customary Christmas Day with the family. For me it's always nice to do family stuff, catch up with people you haven't seen in awhile, eat yummy food that I didn't cook and of course, presents! :) I had dreamt of sitting in bed most of the holiday, with a good book, under the covers with a cup of hot coco but I'm still trying to pencil that into my calendar. Ha!
How was everyone's holidays?
