"It's like...we're grown ups now..it looks like grown ups live here"
Today..well technically yesterday, was AMAZING, except for the fact that Sarah woke me up at 4 in the morn but that's because my baby had sinutitus or something like that...she couldn't talk or swallow and short of breath. so I drove like a bat out of hell to the hospital and they gave her antibiotics and hydrocodone =]. On the way home, we had to get her drugs haha and I got her some mints to suck on for her throat (she doesn't like menthol) So she's doing good now lol. Anyway...it was good timing cause after we saw mom (she's in the hospital too...heart attack) we went to Goodwill when it opened cause it was 50% off everything sale and we got a set of faux leather couches!! I honestly like the fake leather cause it doesn't stick to you and it's a lot more comfortable. There were 2 diff couches, the ones we got that were a set..sofa and loveseat and a green 2 seater that sarah liked (which would've been $10 more). The green one was stiff and it would be 30 bucks on sale, while the set together(we thought they would be seperate) was $20 =] (we thought $40) all in all, the set was the best deal. We also got some other stuff. They had a big Piglet so it can go with the big Tigger and wal-mart has the big Pooh =] We also got a pillowcase that's pooh for the toddler bed. Yay, I was happy. Sarah found these cute x-mas decorations...2 snowmen and a Santa skiing. They're on the coffee table haha. They were 33 cents! I found this HUGE margarita glass for Sarah, since she makes the best margaritas ever. She found 4 couch pillows and they look perfect with the couches. We got a red/white/blue lamp for the living room as well. Mom wants some nightgowns and we found a really nice and light one with a robe since she's always cold. She really liked them, and they were in her size! YaY! Our total w/o the couches at goodwill was 27 dollars. Not bad at all. Sarah took a nap since she was realllyyy dopey, but adorable, and after she fell asleep, I let her rest and I cleaned. Got the living room ready for the couches..swept and mopped, cleaned the couches, got some clutter away from the tree and got all the ornaments we got at walmart altogether. We got those shatterproof ones with the 100 count for like 9 bucks. Not bad. But I think we might need more than that. We also got some garland that says ho-ho-ho to go on the tree. Sarah woke up about 7pm and she was really surprised to see the everything cleaned. =] Brownie points haha ;) Yayeah. We went to see mom again and then we went to Wally World. We wanted to get something for the leather cause on the arms it's kinda cut...wear and tear..not that bad though but still. Nothing there we liked. In the end..we got a rug =] It's so nice. It's a tan/green and it looks so good. It fits perfectly between the couches. We feel so great about everything. It's OUR home. It's OUR couches. It's OUR rug. We earned it. We're so proud of us and our home and ourselves. We managed to get the futon up the stairs..Sarah had to take it apart, but that took 10 secs. It was so nice to sleep higher than our nightstands haha. God we loved it. We fell asleep holding each other and we both woke up 4 hrs later feeling refreshed and awake. It was so nice. We haven't told mom anything except that we got the tree up, and that I cleaned so that when she gets back home from the hospital she'll be happy and surprised. We got her flannel sheets that look similar to the ones that were stolen. She doesn't know about that either =]
Sarah's birthday was awesome! We did an all-nighter, like always haha, and got my check. Got her her b-day presents..Hitman Triology and Harry potter Triology. She bought a 6 pack for me, and margarita mixes for us. I got her her Magic Bullet so we could have frozen margaritas. YaY. (btw, they were really good). We also got some wine, which is a good chaser after margaritas...makes you sleep lol. We went and saw The Golden Compass, which was awesome. We were going to go to the Imax to see I Am Legend, but mom went to the hospital. Her blood sugar was 600... not good. Anywho, her bday went pretty good for the most part. She's my sessy momma <3.
