OK so I am going to see Iron Maiden play live tonight! Wow! What a classic! I have been listening to these guys since I was 11 y.o. or something.. I've already seen them live 3 times so far, as a teenager, and tonight will be the 4th, but it's been almost 10 years since last time. T to be honest I haven't been listening to their music so much these last 10 years... but I believe I've got most of their albums engraved in my memory? So I will be singing along tonight, that's for sure, me and all my friends partying rocking out together.. what a happy feeling! My friends put me at ease... We're all on the phone with each other today, I think everyone is pretty excited that we're gonna meet up and listen to this old band that we all grew up on. Yeahhh...! With the stars over our heads and stuff (as it's an open-air concert)....
It's been a bit of a tiring day here at the hotel, being a Saturday and whatnot. Been answering lots of questions and giving people instructions etc. Therefore I look forward to finishing my schedule so I can go change clothes and just relax until it's time to leave for the aforementioned concert. Gona eat some gourmet food too, just sweetpeas actually but cooked in a very nice way by my mom. My mom and dad are on holidays now, but they came and visited the other day so she braught me some food like moms do... Awww... so I'm going to eat, and then maybe go to the beach for a while and if there is time I'll also take a nap. Sleeping is important! I've been going through working life with definitely less sleep than is actually needed, that sucks but I always end up staying late reading writing or just going out and hanging about.. I used to say "I'll sleep when I'm dead", but I'm over that now, I feel like I can do just a little less and sleep instead, and that's fun too cause afterwards I am really fresh and I can do things better and with more energy. So good sleep is a definite must.
Yup... so until I'm off work I'll just take it easy and I'll try to go back to Steinbeck's "To a God Unkown", a great great book I'm halfway through. John Steinbeck is a genious period. I'm going to try and read as many of his books as I can get my hands on, I mean why on earth didn't I discover him before? I've been avoiding classics... a major mistake.
