School, The Faint, Bass
School is kicking my ass this semester. Seriously. I've never had to write so many papers in one semester. I'm going to have to drop a class which I wasn't planning on doing and that screws up a lot for me this fall. Having to go to one class a week and trying to do an internship is going to suck esp. since I don't even know where I want to live or do my internship. I've been thinking more about doing radio lately after I realized that I'm sorta good at editing music for commercials and id's. I dunno. I need to go talk to my adviser about this again, post finding out about the class.
I went and saw The Faint the other night in Nashville. It was a really fun concert, a little odd, but cool. Straylight Run played which wasn't expected. They didn't play that "you were meant for me, just a little....something something something" song. The only one I know from them. They weren't that up to par either. Flowers Forever played as well. They are a Tilly and the Wall branch off. They were cool to watch. The Faint was really good and this was the first time I have been at the very front of the stage to watch them. Well, we had been up front the entire show. We being Aubrey, Jessica, Kim, and I. Right before the faint started to play these POS kids came and barged up front like assholes they were and were drinking and smoking all over Kim and I. It was 3 girls and a guy. The 3 girls were around Kim and I. The guy was wanting in between us to be next to one of the girls and I refused to even talk to him b/c I knew what he wanted. So the girl and him started saying names to me and all this crap. I just acted like they wern't there. Finally he said some pretty stupid shit to me and I just turned my head and looked at him. He stopped talking. He somehow weaseled around to the back of me to the left and the ENTIRE SHOW had his arms in the air with it resting on my left shoulder half the time so he could try and piss me off. Also at one point he was trying to push me and I pushed the crap out of him. You know, I'm a pretty level headed person but this guy was just a jerk. "Why didn't you this and that to him?" you ask? Well I didn't want to start something at a show I really wanted to be at with people there I wanted to be with b/c it would ruin it for them and me. Plus, I guess if I really wanted to have gotten him kicked out, I could have but that would require me to lose my spot and then I would be that bastard trying to get to the front again. So I just dealt with it. Kim's teeth started hurting before the show ended too, bless her heart, and she took some of her pain medicine on the way home and her off the wall conversation kept me awake to drive home.
