A lot has happened in 5 weeks. Started my new job in Manassas, been to Maine on an incredible vacation and my relationship with Diana ended. The job is good. I loved my old job so much and the people were so great that it was unrealistic for me to think the new one would be as good. However, it is a nice job and it's low stress they are good people. More importantly, I learned that if I had taken the other offer which would have paid me more and promoted me, I would have probably been laid off this past week. They cut 10% of their workforce. As long as I can stick it out for 2 years to finish grad school I'll be happy. I'm almost halfway done. Then it's good-bye VA and good riddance! Maine was so much fun. Saw some of the best views I've ever seen of the sea and the mountains. Had a great time with Diana. We went whale watching in the Atlantic. Seeing hump back whales, seals and lobsters in their natural environment was incredible. We also went to an improv comedy show, something I look forward to doing again. I'm not going to discuss the details of our breakup but I am very glad we have agreed to stay friends and I really want her to to find happiness. Lastly, school seems a hundred times less demanding this semester, thank God. I have too much on my mind to deal with a stressful class.
