So I got the new Every Time I Die CD...before it's aug. 23rd release...and let me say...this cd is the best new release this year so far to date...The arrangements are amazing and you can definitely tell Keith Buckley took voice lessons and enhanced his voice....alot more singing on this cd than "hot Damn"....and Track 2(kill The Music) features Gerard Way (MCR)....i don't like My Chemical Romance at all really but his vocal track in this song is not bad at all....and the greatest thing about this cd....Track 7(Champing at the Bit) features Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw/Head Automatica)....i love how the music is more in tune with the Southern Classic Rock riffs....still has alot of hardcore aspect but it just feels more alive and mature than their previous work...like they found their sound. I love it and hope i get to see them Sept. 19th with the chariot....Should be a badass show and i'd love to hear the new material live before i leave for the Air Force.
"It's too easy to rest on your laurels and make the same record again. We have the right to not make sense, but you can only do that for so long. We want to stand out as a band. So many bands sound the same. Look at the Hellfest line up. There are 100,000 bands, and unless you're a headliner, you have to find some way to stand out, and you can't stand out just by being a spastic metal band. You can't just worry about the last live performance you gave. A record has to hold your attention, and you can't be remembered only while you're performing." - Keith Buckley (Every Time I Die)
