Um, so Encore was kind of AMAZING. Like, now I'm totally suffering withdrawls because the show was SO much fun. We had a blast, we got a GREAT reception from the crowd, and raised a lot of money for the Make A Wish Foundation. (Exactly how much, we don't know yet, but based on the full shows and other factors I'm sure it was far more than Encore has ever raised in the past...) And I reiterate, had SO much fun! I ordered a CD/DVD of the show that they make available to cast, so I'm really excited to get that...
In the meantime, I found a bunch of video clips of the show online! They're only a small fraction of the songs we did, but a lot of my favorites made it in. These are all from opening night.
A Whole New WorldPart of the "Neverland" medley (as heard on the soundtrack to Disney's "On The Record" touring show)
Poor Unfortunate SoulsOMG, this soloist was AWESOME. He was SO much fun to watch up there... and he did such an awesome Ursula cackle...
Dig a Little DeeperSung in the style of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee... LOVED doing this number. So fun to sing. GOSPEL CHICKENS!
Son of ManThe version from Animal Kingdom's old "Tarzan Rocks!"... my favorite version of that song ever. The lighting during this song was GREAT. Hell, the lighting design for the whole freakin' show was awesome. Although I was just itching for
in-line skaters... :P
Go the DistanceThis version was yoinked from the old DCA show "Steps in Time"... but don't let that put you off. :P LOVED the vocal arrangements here. The choir harmonies are so pretty!!
ReflectionAnother incredible soloist... she had SO much passion and emotion singing this one...
Remember WhenFrom Disneyland's 50th... I've loved this song since it was first released, and LOVED singing it. This one was dedicated to former Encore choir member Terry Newby, who passed away a couple of months ago.
Celebrate the FutureFrom Epcot's Millennium Celebration... always LOVED this song, but in rehearsals it never seemed to click. Then we got into shows, and the soloist blew me away so much that I didn't care. And it got a standing ovation every. single. show. LOVE. If you watch no other clips here, watch this one.
Dream Our Dreams
...screw the link and the cut, I'm embedding this one...

Yes, it's from Light Magic. Forget that. We did it better. :P and with NO CREEPY DANCING PIXIES. Just pure, awesome spectacle!
