I finally moved! Yaaaaaay! I finished lugging the last of my stuff over this afternoon! All that's left now is to clean my old place and turn in the keys. It was SO nice to wake up this morning and only have a 20-minute commute to work. XD (plus that whole bus-ride-from-Westclock and hike-to-Splash-from-the-tunnel-entrance, but that's the bane of Magic Kingdom) It's a really nice place, and I'm already getting all settled in. Now maybe I won't feel like playing in the parks is a long, out-of-the-way hassle. :P
Summer is winding down! MK was pretty quiet today. Splash was busy because it was 90+, but apparently the park overall was pretty dead. No parades in Frontierland for a bit because of the Liberty Square bridge replacement. D: I'm scheduled a day parade shift next week, so we'll see if they're done in time. They're really under a time crunch, though, because the Halloween parties start next week, and there's no way that parade will fit around the Hub like DDCT does.
Tropical Storm Fay was a snoozer here. Rain wasn't even too out-of-control in Orlando city limits - just steady. Obviously the coasts and farther north can't say the same thing, but I'm rather disappointed in my first tropical storm. :P Looks like Gustav is heading farther west, but I'm gonna gas up my car before gas prices spike again, that's for sure. And I was so happy that they were dropping, too.
I tried to go to Borders to get the new Kingdom Keepers sequel today, but they hadn't gotten their copies yet. BOO. They did, however, have a copy of the new SGA novel so I picked that up. Yaaay, novel that still has Weir!
And I know I haven't mentioned Atlantis in a long time... I actually haven't watched it since mid-season 4. So I can't say I'm too devastated about the cancellation. I'll probably eventually catch up, but I'm not chomping at the bit.
