The Hurricane
Did you ever think about how perfect the conditions on Earth are? We have the oceans and tactonics that can create and destroy land. We have beautiful forrests, they burn down themselves and make way for new life. We have weather to nourish the land and also to keep things in balance. There would be no harmony with out discord. And then there is us. We use this place as we see fit and tamper with the doings of nature. Living in little climate controlled bubbles with machines to make us comfy. We are a whirlwind upon this earth, using what it has ten-fold and never replenishing it. We are so selfish not to see that the Earth has been here so much longer than us with so much other life. And it will be here long after we are gone. We try to adapt this world to our needs when in fact we must adapt in this place we live. We run our busy lives and take no reguard for the forces that keep things in balance. We bend its land as we see fit. Sitting in ignorance in the eye of the storm, lawn chairs outside of a dammed lake...we wait...for the earth to retaliate.
