What an awesome weekend...and now it's bed time!
Well the last 4 days were pretty fun times catching Chinook salmon and breeding them at a hatchery. I must say though, as huge as I thought these fish were (about 15-25 lbs and 80-100 cm in length), apparently not many years ago they were at least double the weight and about 50 cm longer!! Just goes to show how trophy fishing (as they're really only used for sport fishing) can affect a population so drastically in such a short period of time. lol, on the flip side, they are an invasive species that the Ontario government puts millions of dollars into restocking them, so if they're really not doing so well anymore, perhaps they'll put their money to better use? ya right...lol.
Other than that, I broke up with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and I'm really beginning to regret doing that now. Not sure what I'll do about that, but we shall see. Just something that's been on my mind as of late.
The strike at school has also finally ended, which is good and bad. Only bad because I'm lazy and enjoyed the school being quiet. The not dealing with students was also kind of nice. But other than that, I'm glad that things are getting back to normal and some sort of routine will start up again. Some sort of structure is always nice to have :)
Well, it's now supper and laundry time and then off to bed early!
