The X-what?
So I called a hostel in Vancouver yesterday to inquire about accommodations for my trip in June. Once I had the guy on the phone, I took a leap and asked him a few probing questions...
Me: "This is going to sound geeky, but do you know if there are any bus tours devoted to The X-Files in Vancouver?"
Guy (sounding totally confused): "What?"
Me: "X-Files bus tours. You know, the TV show, The X-Files?"
Guy: "*pause*...Oh. Right! Um, no, I don't think there have been any bus tours about that in a loooong time."
Me: "Oh, okay then. No problem." *crushed and disappointed*
Have Vancouverites forgotten about the little show that made their city famous? This makes me sad.
