If you spend your life dreaming for something to happen, and it never does......does that mean all the dreaming was a waste?

It means you need to get your priorities straight.

not neccesarily.. dreaming is what allows artists to create visions the future, create new worlds and change the past. Would Tolkien have created an entire universe with diverse peoples and languages without dreaming some of the time?
well, that and the heavy drug use...

and depending on what you're dreaming of, that's not a bad thing, like if you're dreaming of apocalypse, I'd be pretty happy if it never happens!

I'm with Ashley on this one. At the same time, there's something to be said for realizing your dreams and making them come true. A world without dreams is a world in which I wouldn't want to live, but having a dream without living in the world would be a terrible waste.

I'm way too cynical, methinks. Or I possess an attitude that's like "it is what it is". And nothing more.

Lacey. Dreaming of something with 'eyes wide open' means that there is good reason for your dream, that you dont have cause to doubt it, and that somewhere in the universe time tells you things will fall into place as your dreams propell you. BUT, if your eyes are 'wide shut' beware dreaming without that hint of reality...there is a thin line between the two...and I think you know more than you think about what is possible spiritually in this universe and what is not...good luck with the dreaming. Soon it will all come into perspective...but hey we are 19...how stable are we expected to be really? lol
