Pre-series Notes: X3 never happened. Jean rose from Alkali Lake in January, nearly a year after X2, to be greeted by Magneto/the Brotherhood and a team of X-Men, both of whom wanted her, for entirely different reasons. She left with the X-men. Gambit was there, met Rogue, and followed her back to the school. Although she already has a boyfriend, he’s determined to make her his, by fair means or foul.
.Chapter Summary: Kitty's plotting somes to fruition. Remy is touched. Bobby is frustrated.& nbsp; Rogue is surprised.

Remy stood up, dusted himself off, and, without a trace of shame, headed for the food. Snagging an apple with one hand, he glanced at the open seat. "Oh, so not in de mood fo' drama," he muttered. He liked tweaking Bobby, but the other boy took it very seriously. Whereas Remy liked the friction, Bobby was rapidly working his way up to a blood feud. And Remy really didn't need yet another person gunning for him. He grabbed a few things and headed for the door.
Rogue looked from Bobby, heading over to them, and at Remy, clearly in the mood to avoid further confrontation. "Kit-" she started, but the petite dancer was already heading for the Cajun.
