You can climb a ladder up to the sun... or write a song nobody has sung

October 15th... where the heck has September gone?! Time flies when you're working 14 hours a day having fun... I'm missing Varese 2008 more than I should, but I kept in touch with other volunteers and they feel the same, oh well... Saturday the Giro di Lombardia starts in Varese and we're all meeting for breakfast and to watch the race!

I spent the weekend at valeria_sg_1's house! We watched I want to Believe... uhm... I didn't like it so much, but I just loved the end credits song! Then for the sake of old times, we watched Fight the Future XD I miss X-Files, I re watched some old episodes lately and I rediscovered my love for them lol.

Sunday we went to Bolzano, the weather was perfect, sunny and warm and we strolled around the street market and the park for a while then we went to visit Otzi's museum and ended up spending almost 3 hours there, checking out everything down to the smallest details XD We emerged from the Museum around 2pm feeling veeeery famished and ran towards the first restaurant in sight, were we enjoyed a plate of Canederli aaaaaaaaaand as a dessert a plate of sweet canederli with plums, blueberries, cinnamon and sugar, it was pure heaven, believe me! *drools at the thought*

Monday I went to class with Vale, I enjoyed the 2 hours of German philology (with a glorious mention to Torri Higginson's ancestors Snorri Sturluson AND Olaf Tryggvason and I don't know how I didn't end up on the floor laughing uncontrollably), they reminded me my History of English language course :) Then we met with Francesca and walked around Verona for a while, we had a very interesting discussion about X-Files, Stargate and the fandom in general that bordered on a psychological analysis of fan types XD We dropped by FNAC and I bought Ark of Truth and Fight the Future on dvd for a very cheap price then I took a peek at some Old English books in Vale's uni library and found something useful for my thesis, yay me!

I'm still reading El juego del Angel, for now I'm liking it, but I feel like something is amiss... *staying clear of lukitas comments until she finishes it* Yesterday I got my copy of Mirror Mirror, the latest SGA novel, but I'm reading so many books already, I should finish some before starting this one too *facepalm*

Last, but not least thank you nausica2 lukitas and daphnex for the beautiful postcards!! It seems someone really enjoyed Greek frappé, right Luki? XD And Laura, I want to live inside your postcard!

friends, trips, uni
