Umm..oh yes, yesterday I went to Target (as I mentioned in my last post) anyways,I was browsing through the shoes section and was uber-surprised to find that their shoe department has really gotten a lot better...not necessarily better quality, but definitely cuter. ;D . I found this adorable pair of espadrilles (CHEAP) and several pairs of flip-

About the modeling..I've been a model for maybe...3 years, about. And I was supposed to grow to be like, 5'7 - 5'8. And when I wasnt growing as fast as planned, I figured that if I lost weight, it would still work out, since I would be as skinny as the other girls, just not as tall. (I'm 5'6). Anyways, I lost about...30 pounds in all. My agent saw me last when I was about 110 pounds (before I started starving, I was about 120 pounds or so). And she sort of knew how I was losing the weight, but all she said was "You look great! You look AMAZING. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!" So yeah. But by September, I was in the 90's,maybe like 98 or 97,and I had an audition for this clothes catalogue. And I DIDNT get the job cos I was too skinny, too sick looking. That confused the hell out of me, because I thought that my agent had said too keep doing what I'd been doing...
So I guess, these fashion people realize the impact on that they are having on girls who look at the models in their magazines and want to emulate them. They know that that is why so many girls buy the magazines..to stare at the beautiful, skinny girls that fill them. But if you are actually successful at pinning down the "stick figure" look that the models have..well then, suddenly, you have a disease, and the editors dont want to hear about... how the images that are in their magazines are reinforcing the impossible idea that young female America has about the ideal woman's body..about how they are majorly contributing to the encouragment girls starving their bodies to look "Flawless in a Bikini", or what not. Sort of makes me feel sick.
