Quotes

Monica: You are a dog person, John.
John: How do you figure?
Monica: Well, you're dependable, loyal, you're without guile, and you're very comfortable to be around. So why a cat?
John: They're low maintenance, so you can't disappoint them.
Monica: I don't see you ever disappointing anyone.

Doggett: I wish I could talk to her. I wish I could tell her. Guess I wish a lot of things.

Ok it's not a properly done flowchart but still, no excuses! Booze, snickerdoodles or whatever...you all have to watch this one with me.

There's some weird flirting in this episode between Doggett and Reyes from the very beginning. It's kind of like if I were watching my parents flirt. And if I happened to hate my mom. She gets in an accident and like travels to another world it seems (We know this because it's more BLUE in colour there as opposed to the rest of the episode) and there's a house floating in the sky or in someone's mind SPOILERS. Or something. I don't really care.

It bothers me a bit that Doggett and Reyes suddenly love each other and care for each other after not too many episodes together. I'd be a bit bitter about how sudden it is compared to Mulder and Scully, but I think MSR fans still got the better end of the deal in the long run.

I can't properly put into words what I think about this episode. It's strange. And I'm trying to give it a chance man, but it's seriously boring. I just don't think Annabeth can act - at least not as this character - and it's painful to watch her carry this episode. Robert makes a valiant effort but I don't know you guys. Audrey, played by Tracey Ellis (from Oubliette) was pretty awesome in this one however. She does a great job with out of the ordinary characters.

In the end, Reyes lives and we don't know what the hell happened to Audrey. She was drugged like the others were, so is she stuck in her dollhouse? Is she dead? No one knows. And the writer decided that we didn't need to perhaps. OR I missed the point entirely which is certainly possible.

Extra

In a funny blooper from this episode, Annabeth Gish has a coughing fit while lying in the hospital bed, while Scully is trying to convince Doggett that she is brain dead.

This is the second time that Tracey Ellis has had a guest appearance on the show. She played Lucy Householder in the season 3 episode "Oubliette".

This episode marks the 50th time that Kim Manners has stepped behind the camera to direct an X-Files episode, making him without a doubt the longest serving director on the show. His debut was for season 2's 'Die Hand Die Verletzt'.
