The brain disease is bullsh!t. Plain and simple. I can't acknowledge this storyline whatsoever.

Oh and Doggett and Skinner are spending far too much time together.

Because they looooove each other.

Do you have an explanation out of the brain disease? Cos its kinda right there, in that episode and others.

NO! I know you have a thing for SkinDog, but just take it somewhere else, ok? :oP

Dood I have to put up with your Scully and Skinner thing, so... ;)

No I don't have an explanation. I just ignore it which isn't exactly sensible of me, but to be fair, I never watch the episodes where it's mentioned so it's easy to do so. I'd love for someone to come up with an explanation or excuse out of it. The whole thing bothers me - I'd never accept a world where Mulder was lying to Scully about that sort of thing, taking off on road trips when M and S were likely starting sleeping together...it's nonsensical to me.

I havent mentioned Scully and Skinner in forever! Everyone else keeps bringing it up!

Usually I hate ignoring canon, and I hate all the "theories" people have about unexplained stuff. But this I am willing to make an exception with because its so stupid.

I'm a huuuge canon 'ho, but yes, this is one instance where I have to ignore something for my own sanity.

I feel exactly the same way. Normally it infuriates me when people choose to blatantly ignore canon and make up their own versions of various storylines... but it seems like we're pretty much ALL in agreement that this is the exception to that rule. Let's just ignore it altogether, the end. :P

YES! Me too! They're like "but its an alternative idea" and I'm like, how the hell can you have an alternative idea when the actual facts/story/whatever are laid out RIGHT THERE for you? UGH.

Let's just ignore it altogether, the end

LOL. Agreed. We should talk about how disgusting that vomit-monster was in this ep.

I feel bad for the vomit-monster. But it's still really, really disgusting.

I'm with you (not on the Doggett/Skinner thing, but the other thing!). Stupid storyline so I just try and ignore it and hope it'll go away... or just not watch it. With S8 and S9, you just gotta pick and choose the eps you think make sense with what's in you head...

oh man, did that make any sense? LOL
