As far as I'm concerned, the brain disease stuff simply did not happen. It doesn't exist. That's all.

This is exactly how I feel. Then again I feel this way about the entire season of 8 & 9. lol

I'm with you.

The brain disease angers me so much that I really cannot mentally incorporate it into the events of the show. It makes me incredibly sad that Mulder is gone. But it is fathomable. Mulder dying and not telling Scully? Isn't. Of course there were things going on behind the scenes during the 7th season, but that really, truly does not make sense to me as one of them. And I know it being written in makes it canon, and there isn't anything substantial where we can call it a continuity error, but. It just doesn't fit. So I just let the episodes that bring it up irritate me and then don't try to make it work when it comes to the series as a whole. Pretty much another "all things" for me, but to an even more frustrating degree.

Agreed. Also, 1013 writers? There are not 5+ weekends in the month of May. That's just one reason to ignore this damn episode.

Yeah, I tend to ignore it, too. It just doesn't make any sense, especially as those events are supposed to take place during s7, when M&S are closer than ever.
