Ooh! I like this, though it makes me sad to read Mulder and Scully not together.

I'm going to Diana's parents' house. She's waiting there already.

Not the Diana??

Yes, I'm afraid so. In this AU, Scully leaves the X-files to care for her special needs daughter, so she isn't there to keep him from getting back together with Diana.

I am glad you liked it. I watched Emily and Christmas Carol last night and this was the bitter result. Most people write AU to fix what they think went wrong. I must think things are un-fixable, because mine always have a catastrophe at their core.

Yeah I figured you'd have to have been watching Emily and Christmas Carol =) Funnily enough I was thinking of writing a Mulder/Diana AU too!

Catastrophe definitely makes things more...interesting, once in a while I think.

I love good Diana/Mulder. She is a neglected character in fanfic. I have been wanting to write a follow-up to my AU story, focusing more on the back story on her and her illness. I kind of want to write a followup to this, too.

If you do write some Diana fic, please post it to haremxf. I wish the community was more active.

I think she'd be a fascinating character to write, but I can't stand her! lol She is definitely my least favourite XF character, but I may well end up writing some Diana fic at some point, and I'll definitely post it to haremxf.

Is your AU story posted there? I'm not sure if I've read that one - I'll have to have a look.

Yes. The story is called "An Everywhere of Silver." I wrote it for a pre-movie challenge posted there. We were supposed to write about one of the other female characters in the series, try to postulate what might have happened to them since the "The Truth." I think I was the only person who wrote for the challenge, which was sad. There is another challenge up that I will have to look at, after Yuletide, and after I finish getting ready for the holidays. I think it was a pretty good story, but having Diana as a character necessarily meant it would have a limited audience. LOL. The story is posted in my journal somewhere, too. but it's probably easier to read it there. It's in that Movie Fic archive, too.

Oh I'll definitely check out that group (and your fic). That challenge sounds really interesting. Might end up writing something for this group too!

I love your titles. I'm terrible at thinking of what to call my stories so very jealous that you can think of such great ones.

Oh, no, no, no. I don't think up titles, I steal lines from my favorite poet, Emily Dickinson. (I am not alone in this heresy, of course.) I think all but a couple of my titles are from her poetry. My journal title is from her poetry. My other akas--her poetry. I have been obsessed with her poems for a couple of years now.
