A couple of months back on the "Silver Cornet" post, I asked members if anyone was still reading here. Would you believe I'm still getting comments on that post? Well, I am, most recently just a couple of days ago. A kind anon replied: "Yes! I'm new, and I'm HERE! Love this place! Don't ever quit. 😄" It was sweet, it cheered me up, and it reminded

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I was also surprised by how the story ended but in a good way. I think it leaves room for a sequel, too, which would make me very happy. I'm working out my own thoughts and will post them later today or tomorrow.
It is difficult to find new fic, even more difficult to find good new fic in this fandom. Mimic117, who is hosts some of prufrock's fic for her, made announcements about this fic at The X-Files Lost and Found and at Haven. If you are not a member of Haven, apply. It is still a hub for X-Files fans who ship Mulder and Scully.
Where to find more fic by prufrock's love. She reposted some of her most popular stories to Gossamer a few years back. Since some of them were revised, I'd read those first. We discussed "SN 1572" (a reworking of "Negative Utopia" here and there is a link on that post. We have discussed many of her fics. I am an unabashed prufrock's love fangirl. The rest of her old fic can be found on her old geocities site, though I can't guarantee the links. Increasing Workplace Productivity: The X-Files Fanfic of prufrock's love.
Old-timers and returnees still post new fic at Ephemeral. I haven't posted anything there since Windows 7--the posting requirements are extremely finicky.
People do still post fic to their own websites, Syntax6, for one. But she posted her last two stories to Fanfiction.net. If you make an account there, you can subscribe to new writers that you like.
This is also true for Archive of Our Own. Browse the tag for The X-Files and subscribe to the writers you like. You'll get notifications to the email address you used to sign up of when they update. If you need a code, let me know. I still have several that haven't been used.
There is a newer site which I have ignored. It's called Fic Hub or something like that? Since I never go there, it doesn't come up on Google search for me (F*** you gods of the search engine for your assumptions about what I want to find) but it very well might for you.
And Tumblr? I have no idea how to search for new fic at Tumblr. Every now and again, a new fic gets reblogged by someone I follow and I'll glance at it. If it looks okay, I'll read it--or I won't, depending on my time. Some Tumblr writers repost to AO3 or Fanfic.net. Some do not.
Since the revival, there's been lot of new fic written and I'm not going to pretend I'm keeping up with it. Looking at AO3 today, I spotted six new stories posted since yesterday, including an update of an unfinished 22 chapter fic by someone I've never heard of.
Maybe that should be my next post. Ask membership for recs for newer fic?
