This is a brand new nomination. I haven't read it, but I remember reading "Undying" a long while back and liking it a lot. I just read her post-ep for "Deep Throat." I liked it. Then I read her post-ep for "Conduit." I liked it, too

Continuing backwards in the queue, it's either going to be Mountainphile's "Low Profile," which is a light take on "Bad Blood," or something by Malibu Sunset. I have some issues with "Low Profile," but I'm not going tackle her long pieces, not unless someone else wants to take lead. If EC thinks "Salvador" needed an edit, I can't imagine what she'd say about "Seeds of Synchronicity." I did start it and had to stop due to a gratuitous mention of oral pleasuring. Just--no.

Malibu Sunset is a hugely popular MSR writer, but I don't know how she'd feel about having one of her fics dissected here. I think there are enough of her friends lurking that she'd find out so I'd probably better ask first. I'm in enough trouble at Haven as it is. Heck, she might lurk here. I can't keep track of who does and who doesn't. She's been very open about her dislike for LJ so probably not.

Someone nominated one of Bardsmaid's fics but I feel kind of uncomfortable discussing her stories now, though they're certainly competently written.

Someone who was openly rude to me at xf_is_love nominated a raft of slash fic but I feel no obligation to read any of them at this point. I don't see anyone else who's a regular here clamoring to read them either.

So yes on a Mini-rewatch? I was wanting to watch Irresistible/Orison and maybe The Pine Bluff Variant for ficcing purposes, but I can do that on my own if no one else is interested. You have a request/preference?

When you start out with oral sex within the first couple of paragraphs, and it's Mulder helping Scully to fall asleep type oral sex, I mean, please. Who does that anyway and why is that even a thing? The casefile might be great but I can't read that fic. Maybe if she'd posted a PG-version. Back in the day, people used to do that in Stargate fandom, post a NC-17 version and a PG version with all of the sex edited out. It was great.

Oh, and we're doing a rewatch here. For seven days. Starting tomorrow.
