Hahaha! I loved it, too! I was at the midnight showing (in Manhattan) so the theater was full of fans. (yes, some were in "costume") And when Skinner showed up, we all squealed. LOL. I loved all the inside jokes. And CC's cameo. And Mulder's phone contact list...

I thought they were true to the tone of the show ... perhaps a little, too true in terms of the case. But they definitely made Mulder and Scully the heart of the movie, just as they were for the series. From that perspective, I thought it was pretty shippy actually, just not happy shippy. (Does that make sense?) Not a lot of sweet moments (although we did get a few, like the first snuggling in bed when we were first shown that they were a couple) but definitely love. The kind that we saw throughout the series. They are so different, and their circumstances over the last six years have not been easy (in hiding) so I wasn't expecting a happily-ever-after kind of relationship. I was just afraid that they weren't even going to be together so I was happy with the outcome.

I was definitely sad when they broke up. And the fact that they made up without a word, while not very satisfying, was pretty true to how they were throughout the series -- communicating more without words. The way Mulder drew Scully out at the end -- gently but firmly, knowing just how to get her to talk -- shows how well he knows her and how much he cares. All things considered, it made me happy.

The case, however, was quite disturbing to me. I think it definitely hampered my enjoyment a bit. I'm not sure exactly why that was the case. It's not like I'm a squeamish person. Something about it just seemed really, really dark. *Shrugs*

Overall, I had a great time and I'd definitely see it again!

I totally wanted to go to a midnight showing but the theater was not awesome enough. Fail.

I'M SO GLAD I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO LOVED SKINNER'S APPEARANCE LOL

"I thought it was pretty shippy actually, just not happy shippy." Yeah, that does make sense. Mostly because it's Mulder and Scully XD My favorite was when they were in the hospital, and she grabbed his hand, because it was SO Scully. (And then he let it go and broke my heart)

The part that bothered me the most was when they girl was in the tub, with the tubes or whatever coming out of her neck. *shiver*

I don't know when, but I will be going again!
