Oops, I killed you.

Monday, I go to set up one of the mills to make a riser plate. There's a flycutter in the collet, so reach to place my wrench onto the bolt at the top of the spindle when lo and behold! there's already a fucking wrench attached. Not only is it the wrong fucking wrench but any wrench that is used to adjust a moving part should not leave one's hand until it is resting safely on the table.

Let's just assume that I was going to use the flycutter. First, I would wiggle it to see if it was secure - which it was. Since the mill was in low gear the spindle wouldn't have turned and I wouldn't have heard the wrench clanking around over my head. The very least that could have happened if I turned the spindle on is the wrench breaking. It also could have busted the motor mounts or even fucked the spindle, but here's the real issue: Someone could have been killed.

Interviewer: Why did you leave your last job.
Applicant: Oh, I wrecked my machine and killed a coworker.

I'm sick of this shit! I'm sick of coming up to the bench grinder with it already on and the guards taken down. I'm sick of handicap retards dropping 1500lb die sections off the table. I am growing weary of having forklifts backup into me.

No! you can't use my transfers. They're for scribing, not punching an eighth-inch-deep hole in alloy steel.
Where's my fucking hammer?! Get your own goddam hammer! Oh, you broke your hammer.
My parallels have dents in them; like someone was using them for a hammer.
Yes, McGraw, I know how to make that part. I can even make prints for it, but that's kinda fucking useless around here, cause nobody uses prints.
Nothing fucking works right. Nothing is interchangeable, but if I have to stop and custom make a new part I get stinky ass-breath breathing, "Don't do that." only to have him check with the lead machinist and find that I'm doing exactly what I should be doing.
I waste six hours rebuilding a die only for management to look at it and say they're going to order new punches. That's what I told them in the first place, but No!!! they wanted it NOW. Well, now, we're still waiting on parts cause they forgot to oder them.

Okay, I'm done. Move along people. Nothing to see here.

danger, job
