The True Gift of Christmas
Mother do not shed a tear of grief and pity because we can't afford to have a big Christmas this year, are you not the one who said the best gift of all is the creativity and effort into making a gift with your own two hands the best gift not even money can buy?
The best gift of all is your love, sure this is the holiday to give happiness, but it wasn't the wrapping that makes a child's face light up like a christmas tree but the thought of his or her voice being heard and becoming true. I remember when you sat by my side when I was trying to get over the stomach flu till I felt safe enough to fall asleep, I remember you by my side when I lost my first cat pumpkin, your heart and love is the best gift not a single person can buy. Do not shed a tear because we are unable to buy a big christmas joy, our Christmas was always there. Every year our faces light up because we are a family showing that we care through objects.
I remember some of our most hardest moments that we faced in the past, but we all overcame them together. Instead of teaching us the way of God you taught us Art, love and taught us how to dream. Do not grieve over money, we are in this together and always will be. Isn't the love you show us enough to not cry over such a thing? The reason why I didn't ask anything for my birthday was because I realized something, I had the greatest gift any mother can give. Dreams and hope, trust and wisdom, being together on a single day as one big happy family. That is the true gift of Christmas
