SO ... I had an awesome weekend.

Thursday after I left ya'll I got on my plane.   Then an hour  and a half and a trip down the runway later I was back at the gate trying to bash my head in 'cause one of the data recording devices on the plane (the one out of three we actually needed) kept going off.  FINALLY around 8:45 (my plane was supposed to take off at 5:50)  we got back on the plane and HUZZAH successful takeoff.  It was a loooong flight.  There were two kids and their parents behind me who obviously didn't believe in any form of discipline other than neglect.  Luckily the man next to me, who, oddly enough, lives just down the hill from 'Nessa, was as equally cynical as I am so we had a nice bitch-fest before he decided to doze off during a quiet spell.

That man is genius.  Child shock collars installed on airplanes.  Such genius.

So I get into minneapolis around 10:30 central time and go straight to the potty.  To my utter glee and amusement, there was the equivilent to a heroin addict's needle disposal dream attached to the stall nearest the sinks.  I know, I know, it's for diabetics, but comeon, pet my imagination and leave it be.

I get down to baggage claim around quarter to 11 (I didn't have to take the tram this time... poopy)  and Vanessa is standing there with my bag already in hand and OMFGSKINNYPUU <333.  And sometime after that I passed out. xD I don't remember much after that.  Maybe like a loop back through the terminal and kitty glompage, but kris' brain went byebyes and nini.

Friday we went frolicing in the MOA for a little bit before heading off to meet J03 and Juri at the deathtrap that is IKEA.  From there we went to Valley Fair.  Its a smallish amusement park in Shakopee, but it was a great day to counter my oh so wonderful flight from hell.  We all went on 3 roller coasters, even on the threat of head-death, as well as a few other rides.  I swear we spent atleast 20 minutes at The Wave getting completely soaked by skanky water.  It was awesome.  :)

Saturday was full of happy relaxing.  I spent the morning outside eating my breakfast with a random kitty.  Then we went downtown to the Varsity Theater to see Fair to Midland, and I must say, that was the best show EVER... at the best venue EVER.  When we got in line we were moping 'cause of the psychotic fanboys next to us.  But then I looked down the alley behind us and HOMG FTM! So we foliced to go say hi (nearly getting run over in the process) and the stupid fanboys followed us.  (SUCKS)  But yeah, we got hugs and it was cute and awkward.  And then Mom finally found us and fussed over Cliff.  It was adorable.  But yeah.  If anyone gets a chance to see an FTM headlining show, I suggest you'd take it.  They are brilliant on stage.  Such presence.  *_*  After the show we got lost trying to get back to the highway.  And almost killed someone.  WIN.  But we eventually made it home... in one piece, thankfully.

Sunday morning we froliced over to The Myth to get in line for the DEGGY/Deftones show.  I had a headie so I wasn't too pleasant all morning.  I mean would you want to sit with a bunch of teenage retards trying to show off to eachother while you have a headache?  I thought not.  But it was worth it!  Oh was it worth it.  So yeah there was a bunch of water-balloon-induced line drama between the Deggy fans and the Deftones fans.  Blahblahblah it was immature and eh whatever.  l like both the deftones and deggy so ... I'm stuck in the middle eh?  Besides... Kris had a headache remember?  ANYWHO that was all long and boring and I was the only one not dying in the 90+ weather 'cause lets face it: you subject someone to florida's oppressive heat and humidity long enough, one little heat spell in minnesota is less bothersome than a mosquito bite.   Finally we make it inside.  EVERYONE is making a mad dash for the front lines.  Its like DDAY only more deadly, srsly.  I get second row behind Meg and Katie and my hand is on the bar.  There is no fucking way I'm losing my spot.  NONE.  I gave it up last time to go talk to adorable little Frankie and be happy and unsquished in back.  I missed my 3rd row deggy experience in feb.  screw  you if you think I'd move this time.  SO the opening band starts up and it was chaos.  I've seen these guys before.  They're all brilliant musicians.  Just not all that brilliant together.  But man they were good.  I couldn't hear a damn thing the vocalist said but his guitar skills blew us away.  They need more love than they get.  FINALLY DeG comes on.  The DEG crowd FLIPS OUT.   We've managed to put ourselves between Kyo and Kaoru and directly in front of Toshiya.  Wow.  Just absolutely amazing to love these guys for eight, almost nine years, and to be there in front of them when you never believe that outside of going to Japan that it'd ever be possible.  AND TO GET FRONTSIES.  Just wow.  We totally rocked out.  I got elbowed in the head by this crazy indian girl like 10 times, but thats okay!  I'm good.  Before the show the security guys were like "we are going to be so bored aren't we -sigh-" ... the crowd surfers thought otherwise.  I think I got kicked a few times.  8D  Then totally out of the blue this guy (he had to be hopped up on drugs or something) started trying to push 'nessa and the girl with a broken arm next to us around to get up front.  Not happening, right?  So he got violent, I called security, Nessa punched him, he got arrested, and we turned back to the show with twice the rocking out effort to see the guys staring at us with approval.  Holy crap. x_x  More love for them.  So much more love for them.  Deg finished their set and pretty much took off.  The crowd surged forward so hard.  We thought it'd be easy to get out.  These people want our spots.  But there is NO room to move.  We have only one option, and that is over the bar.  The security personel are awesome, srsly.  I gave the guy I asked to get me out a hug, a kiss on the cheek, and a HUGE thankyou.   It took forever for Nessa to get out and that scared me after what she'd been through with that guy.  I mean she just had gastic bypass and for her to get elbowed in the back.  Scarey.  BUT she made it and we made our way outside.  For the life of me I couldn't find nessa any water till I asked the manager/owner/lady who was helping another girl who'd nearly suffocated against the bar.  She ended up taking us backstage and we found some of the people we'd waited in line with back there.  Comfort-fest.  HI HARRY!  After that we were asked to leave the backstage area.  We decided some shopping comfort was needed so we bought some merch and found our way outside again, met up with the 'rents and left.  Holycrap passout action was had after the adrenaline wore off.  But again, AWESOME.  Yey.

Packing up and going back home sucks, but the flight went without a hitch.  Then we tried to connect to the gate.  HAH.  Tried.  The hydraulics mysteriously went out on 2 gates.  3rd tries a charm and I frolic on home.  AND FWAH here I am. doot.

So yeah.  I'm not sure all that really happened.  Seems a bit surreal to me.  Like shit like this doesn't/isn't supposed to happen to me.  XD

I can't wait till next time--whenever that will be. >:B
