since i've been out of town, and school rose up and hit me between the eyes, it's save to say that Hanami and NanoWrimo lost their momentum.
So here's my token resistence to giving up:
A Drabble is an extremely short work of fiction with exactly one hundred words. The purpose of the drabble is brevity and to test author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in an extremely confined space.

Walking through the sewer, Leonardo pulled up short---" What if our lives are nothing but episodic adventures written by authors who delight in pitting us against an increasingly violent host of threats?”
Raphael’s eyebrows climbed. "Did you get into last year’s Halloween candy?"
"No! You dared Mike to eat it all last month, remember? He's still not recovered."
Mike tittered. "Left-sided cats, Mr. Cubby!"
Donatello pulled on Mike's safety harness. "Yeah well, he's had his walk. Can we go get dinner yet?"
Leonardo smiled. "Yes, dinner sounds wonderful."
"Aluminum stilts!" chimed Mike.
Raph patted Mike's shoulder. "Sure thing, bro."
