I just got an e-mail from my mum. It started with, "don't freak out, honey, but..." There really needs to be a law about that kind of thing.
My little brother, Seth, apparently got in a bad accident tonight and totalled his car. He was just running up to return some videos and some woman pulled out onto the road and ran into him broadside. His car slid into some huge ditch and ended up on its side. She apparently didn't see him because she was answering her phone. As it turns out, her license was suspended as well so they arrested her. They're not sure if she's got insurance or not, so my brother just might be without a car for a while (he just got the thing like 3 months ago). Amazingly my brother is fine; just a few scratches and his ribs are sore. The lady started kicking and screaming when they went to arrest her and then she changed her story to make it all Seth's fault. There was a witness that saw everything though and verified everything my brother said.
Me being the worry wart that I am, I'm demanding that Seth take a few days off from work to rest and go see a doctor even if he does feel fine right now.
Fate really likes to fuck with our family. We always get bad news (and bad stuff happening to us) in clusterfucks.
