The USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) is going to be decommissioned TOMORROW. I just learned about this now. It's one of only two remaining conventionally-powered aircraft carriers, the other being the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63), scheduled for decommissioning next year. All other carriers operated by the US Navy are nuclear-powered, with the designation CVN.
