...yes, there is a distinct murk to life these days. It smells somewhat metallic, with a tinge of cinnamon and turpentine.
Look, things aren't Just and they never have been. That's fine, I can accept that, that's life (as they say). But it's not acceptable to me that it be left at that, and now let's go and have some okonomi-yaki. No, that's not how this works, people.
That's just not how it fucking works. Now, if someone would stand up and say something, or someone sit down and shut up, we'd be getting somewhere. But that's not gonna happen either.
So. We clearly have a problem. No more ranting. No more expressions of anger. No more tears. The summation of human Reason would agree, that That's Enough. The mildly annoyed British man would ask "Are you quite finished?".
No more tantrums. This noise has been persisting for eons, but the rise to a crescendo is only recent. Old blood boils fast, as new blood comes to a simmer.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edward Burke
"You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." - Winston Churchill
There are no more heroes, there are no more Men of Honour, there are no more rules, no more realpolitik, no more feints within a feint, no more duchys, no more baronys, no more old world, no more new world, no more Power.
assymmetric warfare is obselete, victory is dead.
only Justice can revive her now.
justice will prevail if all do what in their hearts they deeply yearn for. The only course is that of the course itself. The Journey.
The basest, cruellest, most fundamentally utilitarian methods must be used now. Yet it must stay as complicated as possible, with as much thought required as building a nuclear reactor from scratch. Else I fear society's descent into madness.
Trouble is upon us, the game is afoot. no one can help us now.
and my Mood, you might wonder? Optimistic. For my will is that of a Human's. And, except God Himself, no will is more powerful than a Human being's.
