Today.... Today is not good.
I have the worst period pains ever. And believe me I have had bad period pains. I once had to leave in the middle of a lesson and spend the rest of the day at San. because it was that time of the month. I really need to get some painkillers.
If you've never had pains this bad it's impossible to imagine it. Awful cramping in your lower abdomen that doesn't lessen at all. Hot water bottles ease the pain but nothing stops it. It's like some kind demon eating away at you. You just want to curl up in a fetal position until it ends. Until the tears stop pricking at your eyes.
And worse you know that in time it'll end. But only for this month. It'll be back the next and the next and the next... And so on until you reach 50 or so. It's like foe you can't vanquish, that can't die. I curse the day nature saddled the female with this burden.
We got this and childbirth. And guys, how to they suffer? A minor weakness in a fight, that the can protect. They can avoid pain. We can't. Short of a hyresectomy we're stuck with it. There-ain't-no-justice!
I have to agree with Ursula Vernon here: Terry Pratchett was wrong, the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse isn't Roadworks On The M25, it's Menstrual Cramping.
