i could go ON AND ON about my trip to new york, but i won't. instead, a (relatively) brief recap with pictures!

wednesday:
*dinner with gary and dan at mimi's cafe in altamonte springs

thursday:
*flew to NEW YORK
*our roommates at the hostel were foreign men in their thirties who liked to flaunt their nakedness
*saw TIMES SQUARE/TRL
*saw CBS studios (LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN)
*dinner and comedy show at DILLON'S
- i met my future husband there. dorian, a columbia university graduate who now works in finance in NYC! we were chatting after the show, but i completely put my foot in my mouth when he asked what i was doing that weekend. typical!

friday:
*FIFTH AVENUE: saw all the high end shops including GUCCI, PRADA, FERAGAMO, VERSACE, MANOLO BLAHNIK, TIFANNY AND CO., LOUIS VITTON, COACH, SAKS, ARDEN, ROLEX. ARMANI, BETSEY JOHSON, etc.
- meagan and i picked out our ideal engagement ring @ tiffany!
*shopping spree at H&M! we both bought cute outfits for MAROON FIVE!
*ROCKEFELLER CENTER, LOVE STATUE, ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL, NBC STUDIOS
*first time riding the subway!
*lunch at KATZ'S DELI (where they taped the famous deli scene from "when harry met sally")
*pictures with the NAKED COWBOY: he grabbed by butt!
*nathan and josh arrived only to get on my nerves the ENTIRE weekend
*MAROON FIVE at RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL

saturday:
*GROUND ZERO, NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE, BATTERY PARK, STATUE OF LIBERTY
*CANAL STREET = buying fake purses from sketchy asian who lead you far away to dark warehouses!
*more shopping
*THE LION KING
- my first broadway show! AMAZING!
*comedy show at DILLON'S
*stayed up with josh until 6am! :)

sunday:
*more shopping
*MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
*getting lost on the subway
*NYU and COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
- NYU was uber trendy; COLUMBIA was seemingly more scholastic! i would love to go to either for grad school, but both are SUPER expensive!
*dinner at TOM'S RESTAUARANT (restaurant used in SEINFELD)
*stroll through HUDSON RIVER PARK and CENTRAL PARK
*the PLAZA HOTEL
*frozen hot chocolate and cheesecake at SERENDIPITY (featured on OPRAH)
*bought more fake purses
*EMPIRE STATE BUILDING observatory at 1130pm = BREATHTAKING VIEW!
- it was so high up! i had sweaty palms.
*herds of elephant and horses marching the streets of NYC on our way home (the circus was in town)

monday:
*back to WALL STREET
*GRAND CENTRAL STATION
*the UNITED NATIONS (i'm dorky, i know. i LOVED it though! one of my favorite places)
*sushi
*read the NEW YORK POST (page six is my favorite column) in BRYANT PARK
*flew back to orlando; arrived in gainesville around 3am

i can't wait to go back to new york! meagan and i both really want to go to grad school there, but tuition is about $30,000 a year at both schools. that doesn't include living expenses either. so, i doubt that will happen, but i would love to live there for a summer or something. either way, i will be going back soon! what a great trip! :)

next trip = visiting nathan in ALASKA over the summer! he bought a tent to live in! haha. "big enough for a dresser," he says. "still a TENT!" i say. haha. what am i thinking?
