The countdown on my iGoogle homepage tells me I have four days left until Doujin Overload, 2010.
And god, am I terrified.
I think the scariest part is that I won't know anyone; I'll be two hours drive away from home in the countries biggest city attending my first anime con without a single friend there to back me up. And I have to spend over 8 hours there, sitting at a table with five men I've never met as we try to sell our groups artbook. LOL.
But I'm also really, really excited. Due to an illness this will be the first time in three years I've left the house without mummy dearest holding my hand. This is my first step into the big bad world. I'm a really independent person, so I'm really looking forward to it. I hope my lack of social skills doesn't embarrass me too much, haha.
Here's a preview of some of the art I'll be selling as posters and some pages in Yaminabe's artbook. If you're coming to DO, please support us by buying our super awesome, super cheap book ^^. I think they're around 100 or so pages, and only $30 or something? Plus, you get a free A3 poster. I mean, at that price we're practically giving them away. So you better come and get one :p
When I went to upload these to tinypic, I was asked to type in the words 'unworthy is' to prove my humanity, which made me giggle. Premonition? Maybe I should practice more, lol.
