Goodbye Eartha Kitt
As some of you would know, I'm an avid reader of online's best gossip digital rag, ONTD. It's the first thing I read every morning when I log in, and to my dismay, I came across the news of Eartha Kitt's passing on Christmas Day. I didn't know who she was at first glance, though I thought her eyes looked pretty familiar. After a good read of her bio, I then realised she was actually Catwoman in that campy 60s series after Julie Newmar left.
YES, I was a fan of that camp show. Well not really a fan, but I did watch alot of that onomatopeia-filled POW WOW BISH BANG show in my teens. I also loved Lucy, Bewitched, and even Jeannie for a little while before I realised it was very very demeaning to women's rights. But hey, Barbara looked great in that genie's outfit okay.
Anyway back to Eartha Kitt, you might not know her, but i'm sure you have heard of her biggest hit, Santa's Baby.
