Dumpsters: The Hidden Gold Mine

Mar 29, 2006 18:33

Josh is always excellent at finding hidden treasures in the trash. We live above Walgreens, and they always throw away good things. Like the time we got 80+ boxes of Swoops. We've still got some, heh.

This time, he found 3 new containers of laundry detergent (the 4th had a leak and so they threw the whole box away), and....

Awesomeness! )

Oh man, I'll take some of that shit. Provided it's not rancid.

Chocolate doesn't go bad, right?

I mean, I used to eat my halloween candy all year round when I was a kid, and I didn't turn out *that* bad...

Sometimes it does... gets all white and hard and junk. But no, it should be fine for a long time. :) Lucky ducks.

At least someone else recognizes the benefits of dumpster diving! And as always... location location location!

Yep! Kilala! She's awesome, when she's not being annoying. ;)

....by "Kilala" you of course mean "Optimus Prime," who wasn't annoying at all and adores me.

I'm glad you are never having kids - the names you'd plaster on them would get them killed one way or another.

God, yeah, me and Josh are always talking about everything they throw away. I'm guessing the employees aren't allowed to take the stuff?

That's really one of the stupidest things ever. Josh agrees.

Oh well. More good stuff for us!

That's why you're coming over this weekend, yes? Chocolately goodness orgy! (Minus the orgy. I don't think any of us would have too much fun with that...)
