Lists and more

Things I should be doing right now:
-Econ homework due tomorrow
-Econ homework that was due Wednesday
-Studying for French
-Packing for this weekend
-Math for Monday
-English for next week
-Physics extra credit
-My band project

I have faith that you already came to the conclusion that none of that is happening.

Things that are bad:
-The fact that I'm going to fail the AP English test.  Probably the econ ones too, though hopefully not as badly.
-My English grade
-My physics grade
-My relatively low excitement level for the state tournament for Student Congress

But on the bright side...
Things that are good:
-My math grade
-Getting to leave school after 5th tomorrow to go to U of I
-Hopefully celebrating Shabbat in a way that I like
-The year-old camp gossip I learned at school today
-The cookies I just ate

To expand on a few things...
Last year, I was super excited to go to Congress state, but maybe the novelty has worn off or something.  Plus, our team lacks the sense of unity that it had before and it sort of just feels blah.  I have also come to the conclusion that it will be slightly disappointing because I probably won't get hugs if I win something.  (Last year when I won critics, all of the senior girls plus Chris gave me giant hugs, Zucker shook my hand, Ethan and Jacob both high-fived me... lots of good stuff.)  I don't see this year's team as being very affectionate or exciting.  One positive of the whole thing, though, is that Karen said I can raid her closet for outfits.  I love clothes, especially when I don't have to pay for them (=one of the greatest things about camp).
...I'm such a girl.

So tomorrow I leave for this Hillel trip at U of I and get to miss the afternoon of school because the bus leaves from Skokie at 12:30.  I know two kids who are going on it, but I'm guessing that they'll know other people, so I'm bracing myself for a whole lot of awkward.  I'm not one of those people who can go into a weekend long retreat, meet kids, and three days later come out like "OMG BFF" so I'm kind of apprehensive about the whole thing.  But we'll see what happens.

And so begins my month with no free weekends.
