18 Facts you may not have known about me
1. I am blue-green colour-blind. I discovered this in biology class in CEGEP and had it comfirmed by an opthamologist. I have a hard time differentiating between different shades of blue and green, but I can tell the two colours apart. This partially extends to other colours. No, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.
2. The first computer I learned to program was a Sinclair ZX81.
3. My original intent when I graduated high school was to become a doctor, and I registered in Health Sciences at Dawson College. I switched to Pure & Applied to avoid having to take Organic Chemistry. I never graduated.
4. Before my first performance in a Concordia theatre production, the last time I had acted on stage was ten years prior in a school play.
5. If I'm on my game, I can exhale for sixty-seven seconds straight.
6. I once beat Super Mario Bros. many (I used to think eight, but now I'm not so sure, as that would take some time-might have been five) times in a row without losing a life, in one sitting, without using warps. I was eight. I haven't touched the game since on the original NES, and still feel queasy about playing it on other systems.
7. I own as many gaming books that I have never used in-game as ones that I have. I do not regret purchasing them.
8. I left my elementary school in fifth grade and changed schools because of my science teacher, who screamed at me in class because I knew the answers to her questions. She was reportedly fired within the year.
9. I once spent two hundred dollars at Wal-Mart on as many foam dart guns as I could buy, for one day of pseudo-NERF fighting in a Dawson College classroom. I still own them, though I do regret the money spent sometimes. (This was a few years before the fatal Dawson shootings.)
10. Only one of my bones has ever been broken, and it was on purpose: doctors broke my nose and reset it in a procedure known as septoplasty in order to correct a deviated septum when I was 14.
11. I've only ever dated two girls. The first lasted two and a half years; the second is still ongoing after three and a half.
12. I have a twin sister. We were born six minutes apart. (No, we don't look alike.)
13. My ears are small enough that I can't use most earbuds effectively (they don't fit), and in-ear headphones must have the smallest sleeve possible to fit properly.
