Simple: these are the questions originally by Pivot (who adapted from Proust) that Lipton uses on Inside the Actors' Studio.
1. What is your favorite word?
My favourite word is yes. Accepting isn't always great, but when it goes your way, it feels so good.
2. What is your least favorite word?
It has to be fine. Generally it means the opposite of what it's supposed to. Anyone who says they're fine probably isn't.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
I love a good fight-not an argument, mind you, but a fight. Competition counts, but fighting against my own limitations or my own demons helps too. Note that I don't have to win for it to count.
4. What turns you off?
Unintentional (or uncaring) disrespect. Someone who isn't trying, when I'm trying, really drags me down and frustrates me.
5. What is your favorite curse word?
Fuck has to win here because of its universality and versatility, but French-Canadian swearing comes a close second (even though I'm terrible at it).
6. What sound or noise do you love?
Heartfelt laughter. Things can't be so bad if you can laugh (or make others laugh).
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
The sound of an infant or toddler crying. Their pain, at that moment, is the greatest pain they've ever experienced. That's an intensely sad thought for me.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I was going to end up as a doctor or an engineer. Both would have been pretty awesome.
9. What profession would you not like to do?
Assembly line worker. Repetition is okay as long as there's room to be creative. Any job that expressly denies creativity would slay me.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
It's all right that you doubted My existence: it means you kept an open mind.
