I had A Night
I love being a NICU nurse. My patients are awesome, the pay is pretty rad, the medical/dental benefits are heavenly. But there are some days when there's a perfect storm of sick-calls, a good portion of equipment break all at once (really? REALLY? 3 broken thermometers & no incubators made after the 1980s left?!), a lot of babies born sick, a lot of prem babies getting sick, ALL THE TWINS, and my body taking revenge for 30 some-odd years of being an immobile lump of lard means I REALLY feel like after a 4 12-hour shifts, I should reward myself with a bottle of wine.

So, y'know, if anyone wants a help a girl out, I love Gewurztraminers, Rieslings, rosés, and the occasional cab sauv. Also dirty martinis, anything fruity with vodka, & G&Ts.
